Archiving the Jedi Path

info on the path of the jedi from padawn to jedi

doing an essay a college and am going to do it on the path a padawan takes to become a jedi.... can anyone direct me to the best place to find information or is there a central hub were all stories are based or is it a something that different people have different views on so you have to read between the lines and come to ure own conclusion.

I'd like to begin a Jedi Community-wide project establishing a Jedi Central Library for the many writings which exist - and may exist in the future.

I know - I know - other libraries have begun and sort of died. I am not interested in establishing a library in addition to a website - but rather - accumulate what various sites and...

I have been working on my Jedi History project and one day ventured to the very bottom of the main page here...and struck gold:

Request regarding "the Proclamation"

To everyone,

Nearly a year ago now, I posted a 'Proclamation of Jedi Community' on a neutral website and asked for signatures of support for this universal proclamation. It was my hope this would be something that members from a variety of places and groups could agree on. We now have 30 signatures from major folks all over the web, signing in support.

As it was never my intention to create 'yet another Jedi website', I think the time has come for me to take this site down now....

Yes. Jedi have their legends. Groundbreakers who were looked upon at the time as not only foolish, but labeled as extremists.

It is very, very sad how little those in the community today know of these people. This doesn't even count the hundreds of Jedi who diserves mention. And what a time period to be in...a time in which many of us have no clue of what it took for people to do what they did. The risks they had to make...and the preceptions they had to fight against....

Lesson in History - Temple of the Jedi Order

Temple of the Jedi Order was a noble attempt which started in the later part of 2002 (considered the healing period). It was the talk of the community at that point in time.

It's goal was to merge the (then) Jedi United with the Jedi Temple. Although much work was prepared in this merge, it did not officially take place. It eventually died down in the middle of 2003.

With that said though, it was not a failure in the overall sense of the word. Other merge attempts...

What, in your estimation, is a Sith? Do Sith actually exist? Is there more of a difference between Jedi and Sith than their outlook on emotions? What about ambitions, goals, desires, philosophies, training methods etc.?
